WELCOME TO THE KRKA NATIONAL PARK

“Unknown Krka: hidden treasures of the middle and upper course of the Krka River” aims to valorise the middle and upper course of the Krka River and to relieve the burden on the most visited attractions in the southern part of the national park. Project implementation will create the assumptions for optimal management of the Krka National Park territory, in line with the integral approach to resolving identified issues, such as affirmation of the upper course of the Krka River. A series of attractive presentation and education elements, and associated tourism projects, will contribute to an overall improvement of the socioeconomic situation in the surrounding areas.

PROJECT AIM: To build infrastructure and capacities of key stakeholders and to develop new educational tourism products and services, to activate untapped tourism and economic potential in the area of the northern part of Krka National Park, and to achieve better spatial and temporal distribution of visitors and overall social, economic and ecological wellbeing.
