Workshop for decorating ancient pottery and terra sigillata.
This workshop focused on the decoration of baked and dry items with oxides and pigments, the graffiato technique, and the printing and embossing of various relief surfaces into the ceramic mass.
Participants were introduced to the application and polishing of terra sigillata (an almost forgotten technique from ancient times that was used to make items waterproof).
Dry and decorated items were glazed, and afterwards baked in a clay oven.
