The final volunteering programme of 2022 has successfully been completed

The volunteer programme Market researcher was designed to survey visitor opinions on how the Public Institute of Krka National Park can improve its communications, offer better quality content, and ensure stronger nature conservation.

From 11 to 20 November 2022, students at Šibenik University of Applied Science took part in this volunteer campaign. Students analysed collected data on visitation of Krka National Park in 2022. The analysis included data on individual visitor loads by site, temporal intensities, site load by time of day, and the influence of social media on visitation and the responses of the staff of Krka National Park given in the survey on visitors.

The volunteers worked alongside programme coordinators to build Excel pivot tables with the aim of data presentation. In addition to market analysis, the volunteers had the opportunity to work with the local tourist boards of the towns of Skradin and Drniš.

The programme involved a site tour and familiarisation with visitor issues, and education on the natural and cultural attractions at individual sites.

The data analysis identified trends and gave projections. The volunteers prepared the data for presentations, and finally gave their evaluation of the programme.
