Primary School Principals visit the Krka Eco-Campus in Puljane

As part of the implementation of the EU project “Unknown Krka: Hidden treasures of the upper and middle course of the Krka River” KK.06.1.2.01.0003, about 100 primary school principals visited the Krka Eco Campus, Burnum locality and the Manojlovac waterfall on 25 October 2022.

In May of this year, the educational reception centre Krka Eco Campus was opened in Puljane, within the Park boundaries. This centre interprets the natural, cultural and historical heritage of Krka National Park in a modern and interactive way, enables scientist to achieve progress in the development of knowledge and new findings, and volunteers to take part and exchange experiences.

The primary school principals toured the Temple of Nature and Laboratory of Nature, two collections in which archaeology and natural history are presented in an attractive, contemporary way. With their educational dimension and interactive content, these collections will be a must-see destination for school excursions. Volunteers and researchers have the Volunteer Centre at their disposal, with accompanying laboratories equipped with the most modern devices, a conference hall with a capacity of up to 100 people, a dining room and internet centre.

The Public Institute of Krka National Park also presented the educational programmes in different scientific areas that are intended for children of all ages.

The project “Unknown Krka” was presented as part of the visit, and the Public Institute formally opened its doors to the scientific and research community.
